I first fell in love with apothecary jars about 9 years ago when I went to a friends house for a Christmas dinner. There were about 30 different apothecary jars throughout the house filled with various candies. It was heaven. A holiday tradition for them was to have guests fill up a small bag of candy before leaving. I have always wanted to do this and I’m slowly building my apothecary jar collection so that I can! Last week, I showed off a 4th of July decor idea with larger apothecary jars. I picked up a set of small apothecary jars awhile ago and thought it would be perfect to celebrate the 4th of July with some festive candy filled apothecary jars.
If you’re decorating with candy – my favorite place for candy is Candy Crate. They have everything. All colors, all themes, all shapes, all sizes. When you have a candy addiction like yours truly, you can get a little lost on the site. They even have red, white and blue gummy bears! Does it get better than that? If you’re looking for some great apothecary jars, ROSS sometimes has some available or I’ve had good luck at Amazon.com.
