I recently showed you how to make Oreo pops using my new Velata chocolate warmer. Today I have a tutorial for packaging the Oreo pops so they can be used for a birthday party favor, wedding favor, or “just because” treat.
Oreo Pop Favors for Birthday or Wedding
Favor Packaging Supplies
- Treat Bag Cellophane Bags
- Ribbon
- Scissors
Place Oreo pops in cellophane bag. I had to cut about 1/2″ from the bottom of the bag because they were a little long.
Tie a ribbon around the base of the sucker.
Your party favor or “just because” treat is all ready. If you want to customize it more, you can add a cute printable that coordinates with your party or event. I created some simple, friendly tags that could be used as a “just because gift”. A “just because” gift is a simple gift you can give to someone to let them know that you’re thinking about them at that you care.
Be Happy – Free Printable Gift Tag
Today I am sharing the “Be Happy” gift tag. Download the “Be Happy” printable below. The you’re the best, just because, and just for you printables will be available in an upcoming post. These circle tags are designed for a 3″ circle punch.
Cut out the circles with the circle punch and then punch a small hole at the top using a paper punch.
Tie the “Be Happy” tag to the ribbon.
I gave these treats to the girls in our neighborhood after an Activity Days activity. My daughter who (strangely) has never liked Oreos now loves them. I guess a little white chocolate and sprinkles will do that for you.
They would also be great for a visiting teaching treat.
Remember to be happy and share the happiness!

Do you have to have a special program to download the tags?
Camille says
You download it from the page and then you can view it in Adobe Acrobat.

How far in advance can I make the oreo pops? I just think it would be a great idea for a baby shower favor!
Camille says
Hi Irina –
I made these about 3 days before my kids gobbled them all down. I’m not sure how long they would last, but they seem to hold-up well for a few days without going stale. I think the chocolate helps preserve the freshness.
Good luck!
