Here are the 5 random things that make me happy this week.
1 – Fall Leaves

The leaves are starting to change and I can’t tell you how excited I am for the next few months of the year. Fall is my favorite season. I can feel the subtle drop in the temperature and I’ve even pulled out my hoodies a couple of times. Hooray for fall!
2 – Funny Reviews

You have to check out the reviews of this product on Amazon. They made me die laughing. Seriously funny.
Here’s an excerpt:
For decades I have been trying to come up with an ideal way to slice a banana. “Use a knife!” they say. Well…my parole officer won’t allow me to be around knives. “Shoot it with a gun!” Background check…HELLO! I had to resort to carefully attempt to slice those bananas with my bare hands. 99.9% of the time, I would get so frustrated that I just ended up squishing the fruit in my hands and throwing it against the wall in anger. Then, after a fit of banana-induced rage, my parole officer introduced me to this kitchen marvel and my life was changed. No longer consumed by seething anger and animosity towards thick-skinned yellow fruit, I was able to concentrate on my love of theatre and am writing a musical play about two lovers from rival gangs that just try to make it in the world. I think I’ll call it South Side Story.
3 – Let’s Settle This Like Adults

I guess I needed some humor in my life this week. This cracked me up. Isn’t this how silly and immature adults act sometimes?
4 – It’s Time
This is one of three new songs I bought this week.
5 – Pumpkin Pie

Oh. My. Pie. I saw that Costco has started selling pumpkin pie again. Soooooo exciting! I love a good piece of pumpkin pie piled high with whip cream.
Happy Friday!
We made it through the first week of school. My third-grader daughter loves it and my first-grader seems to have adjusted well. It looks like they will have a great year. I love being back to a routine and I love that the house is staying cleaner now that they aren’t home all day.
Have a great weekend. I’m thinking of doing a long nature drive on Sunday into the mountains to enjoy the beautiful world.
