Friday 5 – First Flight, Statue of Liberty, Nighttime Tours, First Snow, and Halloween

I took an unplanned hiatus from blogging for a few weeks.  We have had a very fun and exceptionally busy month.  To pick things back up again, I am sharing my Friday 5.  This weeks selections are from my Instagram feed from the last few weeks.

1 – First Flight

I took my kids on their first airplane ride.  A couple of weeks ago, we flew into New York for a few days then drove down to Washington D.C.  I loved watching the joy on their faces as we took off for the first time.  What a great memory.

2 – Statue of Liberty

On the last day of our visit to New York, we visited the Statue of Liberty.  Definitely a highlight.

3 – Nighttime Tours

One night my buddy and I went on a walk around D.C. to check out the illuminated monuments.

4 – First Snow

Last week we had the first snow for the year.  Luckily it warmed up later in the day and we didn’t have to shovel the driveway!

5 – Halloween

It was really fun to take my 2-year-old trick-or-treating.  She was having the time of her life.

After an exceptionally busy month, I’m glad to have a couple of “slower” weeks before Thanksgiving and Christmas are in full swing.  We are having a Sesame Street birthday party for my daughter tomorrow and I’m looking forward to a take-it-easy Sunday.
