Here are the 5 random things that make me happy this week.
1: Gymnastics

It has been about 10 years since I’ve been “in” to the Olympics. I’ve been missing out! We have enjoyed watching the Olympics as a family this past week and I’ve especially enjoyed watching the gymnastics competition. I cuddled up with the kids last night to watch Gabby & Michael win the gold! Incredible. I got a little choked up.
2: Chocolate & Peanut Butter

Is this the most incredible combination ever!? These homemade chocolate peanut butter cups look easy to make and incredibly delicious.
3: Kneaders
I am a little obsessed with the caramel apples at Kneaders. They haven’t been making them lately because they are out of season.
I saw the Granny Smith apple’s at Costco the other day and got excited, hoping that caramel apples were back in season. I called them today and the Kneaders employee told me that today was the first day they have been back. He said, “Have you tried our caramel apples yet? They are delicious.” Yes, I have and I couldn’t agree more!
4: Amazon
I love Amazon. My husband got Amazon Prime awhile ago and we use it all the time. About 90% of our online shopping is done at Amazon. They have the best products, the best prices, the best shipping, and the best all around service.
My daughter wouldn’t give us much direction on what gifts she wanted for her birthday. She wanted to “be surprised.” Thanks to the good prices and great selection at Amazon, we were able to find some great presents.
5: Halloween Projects

It is probably a little bit crazy to start thinking about Halloween in August, but I am. The craft stores are starting to set out their Halloween (and Christmas) products and I can feel my stomach getting the butterflies. I am going to try to show some restraint in putting out my Halloween decorations, but I’m starting to make a mental list of Halloween projects I’d like to do.
Happy Friday!
It’s been a busy month and looks to be another busy month. There is a lot to do – back to school shopping, birthday party planning, birthday party going, enjoying the last month of summer, and more! I feel like I need a vacation.
Have a great weekend. I’m looking forward to a low-key weekend with some much needed rest and relaxation.
