Winter Decorating – Icicle Chandelier

January 12, 2012 by Camille 5 Comments

One think I love, love, love about winter is beautiful icicles hanging from buildings.  I love the way they shimmer in the sunlight and it makes me feel like I’m living in a winter wonderland.

I picked up some great deals on winter decorations at the day-after-Christmas sales.  One thing I picked up was some acrylic icicle ornaments to hang from my kitchen chandelier.  I also came across a great deal on some crystal garland that I draped around the top of the chandelier.  I am so happy with how this turned out and I think I like it even better than the hanging ornaments I used for the Christmas decorations.  I love to see the crystal glitter from the sun coming through the windows.  We haven’t had very luck this year with snow, so I guess this indoor winter wonderland decor will have to do the trick.

Thanks. 🙂 I think I may like my winter decor more more than my Christmas decor.

Love this look and I too enjoy that Winter Wonderland mystique. I chose to use a bunch of thrift store found crystal pieces (dishware) throughout my dining room this year for the holidays. The pieces look like icy elements placed around the room.

Love this! I did something like this to disguise my brass and glass 90s chandy, hopefully I can update soon. Your chandelier looks beautiful.

Thank you! It’s amazing what a little bling can do to class things up!
