What a week! Life just gets busier and busier, doesn’t it!? We had a fun, laid-back week. Our highlight for the week was lighting fireworks in our driveway on the Fourth of July.
With the Fourth of July past, I’m getting prepared for my daughter’s birthday parties later this month. We are also busy decorating my son’s and oldest daughters room. She gave me a goal yesterday to be done with it by her birthday. I have a feeling I have a lot of late nights ahead of me.
Here is this week’s list of things that make me happy. Read more about the nothing happier series.
Airplanes
Nothing makes me happier than airplanes.
When we were little, my mom used to lay on the floor, prop us up using her feet, and fly us in the sky. It made us happy.
I like to do this with my kids now. My almost-2-year-old daughter gets a little nervous when we do airplanes, but my son and oldest daughter love it.
Did you do this when you were a kid? Do you do it with your kids?
Bubbles
Nothing makes me happier than bubbles.
My baby girl has been learning to talk and one of the most understandable words she says is “bubble.” She runs to me with a jar of bubbles several times a day and excitedly says, “Bubble, bubble, bubble!”
We bought an electric bubble machine this week and it has kept for very happy.
Sparklers
Nothing makes me happier than sparklers.
My son and oldest daughter love fireworks. All summer my son has been asking, “Can we light fireworks yet?” They both have summer birthdays and want to light fireworks on their birthdays.
My favorite fireworks are sparklers. They are entrancing. When I used to film wedding videos, I loved it when the bride and groom made their grand exit using fireworks.
What is making you happy this week?
