Weekend Treat Ideas

I am in the mood for treats this weekend! 

Easy Sugar Cookie Bars

I have been wanting to make sugar cookies for weeks and weeks.  I keep chickening out because I haven’t been in the mood to roll out the dough and cut the shapes.  By the time I get done preparing and cooking the cookies, I feel too burnt out to do the fun part – frosting and decorating.  Since it is still spring I can use the spring-ish sprinkles I got with the intent of making Easter sugar cookies. 

Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars

You can’t beet a treat that is both sweet and salty!  Peanut butter and chocolate were meant to be married.  This recipe looks fantastic.  With pretzels in the crust it is looking pretty close to one of the best candy bar ever invented – Take 5!

Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Pretzels

Can you tell I like the combination of chocolate, peanut butter and pretzels?  These adorable pretzel sandwiches look delightful and surely taste just as good.  I may save this for a neighbor gift or for a pot luck where looking good is as important as tasting good.
